The athletics departments at Glenbard South and Glenbard West and the Glenbard Parent Series will present Excellence in Sports Performance: Establishing a Winning Culture with Gregory Dale on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Dale is a professor of sport psychology and sport ethics at Duke University who consults with professional teams to enhance character and improve peak performance.  He will speak to student athletes about increasing confidence, maintaining accountability, and handling adversity, all while enjoying the process.  Parents will learn the significance of the coach-athlete-parent triangle and the importance of modeling and effective goal setting.

Dale’s presentations are part of parent and athlete meetings on Aug. 15 and are open to the public. Dale will give two presentations.  Join Glenbard South Assistant Principal of Athletics Tim Carlson at 6 p.m. at Glenbard South and Glenbard West Assistant Principal of Athletics Joseph Kain at 6:30 p.m. at Glenbard West. Student athletes are required to attend with their parent or guardian.
